From heroic, spreadsheet-led support to a visible, fair progression system.
Outleap helps sixth forms move from heroic, spreadsheet-led application support to a visible, fair, evidence-rich progression system. We are a UK company focused on post-18 progression for sixth forms and colleges.
The problem we work on
In most sixth forms, post-18 support depends on individual teacher capacity. Application feedback varies with volume. The students who get the most help are often the organised, confident ones who know how to ask. Non-university students are frequently tracked less rigorously than the UCAS cohort. And leadership wants to evidence fair, timely support, but has no single live record to point to.
The failure mode is rarely a total absence of support. It is that nobody can see the whole picture early enough — the quiet student with no evidence, the high-attainer on five unrealistic choices, the 20 who look fine until October.
Opportunity equity
Opportunity discovery is unequal. Some students have parents who tell them about insight days, summer schools, scholarships and degree apprenticeships. Others only hear about whatever comes up in assembly. We believe a school should be able to make relevant routes visible to every student — not just the ones with the confidence, family knowledge or time to find them alone — and to see whether support is reaching the cohort fairly.
What we build
Evidence Bank
Students capture their experiences, achievements and skills in a structured format. That evidence powers the UCAS personal statement, CVs and cover letters, and applications for apprenticeships, jobs and scholarships.
Application workspaces
The UCAS personal-statement workflow is live, on the 2026 three-question format, with AI feedback your school oversees and controls. So is application support beyond UCAS: CVs, cover letters and non-university applications for apprenticeship and employment routes.
Reference Studio
Faster UCAS references, built from real evidence already in the system: sourced, factual claims that staff review and finalise — not a blank page. In development, being perfected before schools rely on it for a cycle.
Progression intelligence
A live cohort view with at-risk flags and a next owner for every student. The no-route-risk radar, equity lens and governor-facing export packs are in development.
How we work
We are not replacing teachers. We remove repetitive feedback and chasing so staff focus on judgement, guidance and intervention. AI assistance is supervised, bounded and reviewable: your school sets the controls, anything flagged as a concern is held for staff, and final decisions stay with the school. We would rather launch one honest, workable process first and expand it openly than hide operational reality behind generic marketing language.
